Welding Technology - This program teaches students how to weld metals together to form structures that are strong, durable, and safe under various conditions. Students will learn all aspects of welding processes including cutting metal with plasma torches or oxyacetylene equipment; assembling parts using arc welding methods; fabricating metal products like piping systems or pressure vessels; inspecting welds made on structural steel members; monitoring gas cylinders used.

The school's main campus is located in the city of Fitchburg, but it also has campuses in Lunenburg and Leominster. There are more than 2,500 students enrolled at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School. Of these, about 1,000 are full time students who attend on the main campus or one of its satellite locations. More than 500 part-time students study at other colleges for credit towards their degree while taking courses that are taught by our instructors as well as faculty from partner institutions like UMass Amherst and Greenfield Community College.
