For every faculty member, there are just seven students which gives students more one-on-one time with their instructors and despite being primarily a women’s school Simmons College has always been very inclusive since 1914 when the first African American graduated from Simmons College and 2014 when they released an LGBTQIA Inclusive Policy Statement to make sure that all people feel welcome at our institution regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
