Arkansas Tech University is a public university in Russellville, Arkansas. It was founded by the Arkansas Legislature and opened in 1909 as the Third District Agricultural School. Initially it offered only two-year programs to prepare students for careers in agriculture and related fields. Over time, however, its curriculum widened to include more diversified offerings such as engineering technology, nursing studies, computer information systems and business administration with a degree program focused on manufacturing management added in 1991. Arkansas Tech University - Ozark Campus is a public, co-educational university in Russellville, Arkansas.
