California Baptist University is a private, Christian university located in Riverside, California. The school was founded in 1950 and is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. CBU offers programs in business, music, nursing and more to nearly 10,000 students every year.

California Baptist University was founded in 1950. The original campus was in El Monte, California. While only 120 students enrolled the first year, the university soon outgrew its buildings. The university relocated to Riverside and now has a student body of close to 10,000. Over the years, it has been ranked several times as one of the best regional universities. The university is structured into several schools and colleges with varying specialties, including business, music, and nursing. CBU School of Nursing offers nursing programs that prepare graduates for careers in health care settings such as hospitals or home health agencies; clinicals are done at affiliated facilities where students work under supervision by faculty members from CBU's School of Nursing program."
