Cuyahoga Community College District (Tri-C) is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Tri-C was established in 1963 and it now has more than 26,000 students enrolled. This is actually the very first community college in the state of Ohio. It is also the largest and offers a large number of associate’s degree programs to its students in many different academic fields of study.

Students will have many transfer options for their credits as well, allowing for smooth transfers to larger four-year universities. There are also several career and technical certificate programs for students to consider. Tri-C is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

The Tri-C nursing program offers a practical nursing track, an associate’s of applied science degree in nursing program, and an RN-to-BSN nursing continuum program. The RN-to-BSN program is designed to help RNs transfer their credits over to CSU so that they can continue on to earn bachelor’s degrees.

Both the practical nursing program and the associate’s degree in nursing program are going to take place on Tri-C campuses. The programs are designed to blend classroom work with laboratory experiences and professional clinical field experience. The nursing programs at Tri-C have the approval of the Ohio State Board of Nursing and are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
