East Mississippi Community College - Mayhew Campus is a public, comprehensive community college. It was established in 1963 and offers associate degrees and certificates in more than 20 areas of study. The campus provides on-campus housing, an active lifestyle center, library services, student clubs and organizations, health care clinic that includes dental services for children 6 years old or younger with Medicaid coverage.

The Mayhew Campus of East Mississippi Community College offers distance education courses, which are open to anyone with a valid high school diploma or GED; as well as Associate degree and certificate programs for students who wish to transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
