East Tennessee State University is a public institution in Johnson City, Tennessee. With the traditional BSN program, students complete their core requirements during their first three semesters.

 The remaining five semesters consist of nursing courses and clinical experiences at local facilities. The accelerated program is also completed in five semesters. However, students in the accelerated program should already have most of their core requirements, allowing them to earn their BSN in just 18 months.
