We have three campuses and offer associate degrees in arts and sciences, business administration, computer information systems technology, criminal justice technology and medical assisting; diploma programs in general studies and nursing assistant training; technical certificates in accounting technician (AAT), automotive service technician (AST) and cosmetology. Originally, the school offered courses in electrical technology, carpentry skills training, home economics instruction for girls, and industrial arts for boys. In 1974, it became known as Edgecombe Community College to reflect its broader mission.
In 1975-76 enrollment grew to over 2200 students from all backgrounds: black women seeking home economics training; white youths looking for vocational opportunities; high school students who wanted to learn a trade or improve their academic skills; adults interested in upgrading
