Since 1991, we have educated over 20,000 professionals from around the world and provide lectures on topics such as anatomy, physiology, pathology and more. We offer workshops to prepare students for certification exams like PANCE or USMLE Step 1 with our highly-qualified instructors.

We are a professional medical school serving the East Bay area. Founded in 1931 by Dr. Stanley Perman, we have had an illustrious history of training future physicians and nurses for over 75 years. We offer a wide range of programs including clinical rotations, degrees in biomedical sciences, nursing, or medicine as well as graduate certificates and post-graduate education. The Institute of Medical Education - Oakland is an independent nonprofit organization that provides continuing education to physicians and other health care providers. IOME is committed to providing medical professionals with the latest evidence-based information on a variety of topics, including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology and pediatrics. The institute also offers courses on advanced imaging for radiology specialists as well as up-to-date training in new technology such as echocardiography or CT scanning.
