Lakeview College of Nursing is a private, not-for-profit learning institution with an open admission policy and a small student-to-faculty ratio. The history of the school starts with the founding of the Lakeview Hospital and the Danville Training School for Nurses in 1894.

 The nursing programs and the hospital were closely connected until the Lakeview Medical Center was sold in 1988. The nursing program was not included in this sale and became Lakeview College of Nursing. Today, we remain small with an annual enrollment of just 289 students and 19 academic staff. Along with our main campus on Walnut Street, we have two satellite campuses: one downtown at Court Square (formerly known as City Hall) that offers courses related to social
