Mercyhurst North East is a private, Catholic college in Erie County, Pennsylvania. In 1867 the Sisters of Mercy founded what was then called Sister's College at Erie. On November 12, 1948 the name was changed to Mercyhurst College and on July 1, 2007 it became known as Mercyhurst University. The school has grown from its original enrollment of 125 students to over 2200 undergraduate students today.

Mercyhurst North East is a college-prep boarding school located in Erie County, Pennsylvania. We are privileged to educate young women and help them grow into confident, caring citizens who will make the world a better place. Mercyhurst North East provides an environment that fosters academic excellence, personal integrity and growth for all of our students.

With a diverse faculty and student body from across the country and around the world, we create opportunities for learning beyond textbooks – inside the classroom as well as outside it through service projects, internships on campus or abroad, volunteer work with local organizations like Habitat for Humanity or food banks – even conducting scientific research with professors at Penn State University's Behrend College.
