We are Odessa College, one of the 60 public 2-year colleges in Texas. The campus is located in an urban area and we're just a short drive from beautiful West Texas. We offer associate degrees for transfer to four-year schools or as preparation for jobs, with some courses offered on weekends to make it easier for adults to continue their education.

Founded on July 1, 1891 as a preparatory school for West Texas children with no access to higher education, Odessa College was founded by a group of citizens led by Dr. Rufus Cady and Reverend J.M. Peeples; its first building was at Fifth and Grant Streets downtown where Central Junior High School now stands (now known as Midland College). In 1908 the college moved to East Thirteenth Street between Andrews Avenue and Broadway.
