Orleans Niagara BOCES-Practical Nursing Program is one of the twenty-seven public career colleges in New York. The campus is located in a rural area, in Sanborn. According to the NCES 2017 report, a total of 62 students attend the school. In the 2017 fall enrollment, 10 freshman students enrolled. The Orleans Niagara BOCES-Practical Nursing Program is a program that helps students prepare for their careers in the healthcare field. The program provides hands-on experience and clinical training, both of which are necessary skills for being a successful nurse. Students will learn everything from how to care for patients with asthma or diabetes to how to administer intravenous medications or dress wounds. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) and receive Registered Nurse status in New York State after they have completed an approved nursing education curriculum and passed all required examinations.

This program provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful as a professional nurse. The Practical Nursing Program of Orleans Niagara BOCES offers an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Practical Nurse, which can be completed in two years or less if it is full time.
