Owensboro Community and Technical College is Kentucky's second largest community college. We are a public, open-admissions institution with an enrollment of just over 5,000 students. OCTC was formed in 1987 when Owensboro Community College and Owensboro Technical College consolidated to form the current institution.Our mission is "to provide educational opportunities for lifelong learning by providing flexible programs which meet diverse needs."
OCTC provides an ADN and a bridge program for LPNs who wish to become RNs. Students have had great success with the NCLEX exam and enjoy passing percentages that are much higher than the national average.
