Prairie View AM University Nursing Center is a leading provider of nursing education in the United States. We are committed to excellence in the delivery of quality patient care and health promotion services. Prairie View AM College, originally founded as an all-female school by Waco's African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, is one of the oldest institutions for educating nurses west of the Mississippi River. Now coeducational, we have grown from a single building on one campus to become a multi-campus institution with two related colleges located in Texas and Oklahoma.

Prairie View AM University Nursing Center is a small, rural nursing center that cares for the elderly. Located in Prairie View, TX, it provides long-term care and short-term rehabilitation services to those who require them. The center was founded by Dr. Mable McCree as a way of giving back to her community and caring for the elderly population who may not have had other options for their care needs. Prairie View has been dedicated in its mission of providing high quality healthcare services with dignity and respect since 1982.

Prairie View AM University Nursing Center is a community-based nursing center that provides care for the elderly and disabled. Our goal is to provide quality of life for our patients by providing skilled nursing services, rehabilitation, administration, and other support in as home-like an environment as possible. 

Prairie View AM University Nursing Center has been recognized by the Texas Association of Homes & Services for the Aging (TAHSA) with their Gold Seal of Approval - a recognition reserved only for those homes that have met stringent standards set forth by TAHSA.
