Preferred College of Nursing has been providing quality nursing education for over 50 years. We are the first and only California State Board of Registered Nurses (CSBRN) approved college in Southern California to offer an Associate Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree completion program that is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges' Senior College and University Commission (WASC). Preferred College of Nursing - Carson is one branch campus from our main campus in Long Beach, CA.

The Preferred College of Nursing is a nursing school that offers an Associate in Science Degree and Diploma programs. The college's main goal is to provide students with the knowledge, skill, and competency needed for successful careers as Registered Nurses.
The Preferred College of Nursing - Carson has been recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) since 2005 for quality education. In addition, we are accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

Preferred College of Nursing- Carson was founded in 1955 by a group of visionary nurses who had the foresight to see that nursing education should be made available to those who could not afford it. Nearly 60 years later, Preferred College of Nursing is proud to continue this tradition and provide quality nursing education for students at all levels. From certificate programs for individuals interested in entering the profession, associate degree programs for registered or licensed vocational nurses (LVN) or practical nurses (LPN), Bachelor's degrees with certificates and/or licensure options for Registered Nurses (RNs).
