San Joaquin Delta College is one of the one hundred three public 2-year colleges in California. The campus is located in an urban area, in Stockton. San Joaquin Delta College is a public two-year college located in Stockton, California that offers associate degrees and certificates. SJDC has an open admission policy which means anyone with a high school diploma or GED may attend without paying tuition fees. The college has been providing educational opportunities since 1941. It was named after the San Joaquin River delta region of Northern California where it resides today. There are approximately 10,000 students enrolled at SJDC, many of whom are first generation learners and/or underrepresented minorities.
Delta provides access to diverse academic programs for these populations with its innovative outreach services such as Scholarship Plus and New Student Orientation Program (NSOP). Both programs provide support to all new students who need assistance

San Joaquin Delta offers transfer agreements with the University of California (UC) system to accommodate students who wish to pursue baccalaureate studies at UC campuses as well as more than two dozen other universities nationwide. The campus has approximately 20,000 full-time equivalent students enrolled annually and serves around 1 million people each year through various outreach programs such as tutoring services for elementary school children through its School Partnerships program or providing English instruction to non-native speakers through its ESL program.

Our campus includes nine buildings with more than 65 classrooms, computer labs, science laboratories, and a library with over 25,000 volumes.
We offer transfer agreements with many universities throughout California including UC Berkeley and Fresno State University as well as nationally through partnerships with schools like Clemson University and Austin Peay State University. The majority of our students come from San Joaquin County but we also have students who commute from nearby counties such as Stanislaus County or Contra Costa County for our affordable tuition rates and
