Shenandoah University is a private institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It was established in 1875 as Shenandoah Seminary in Dayton, Virginia. The seminary became a college in 1924 when it began offering two-year degrees. It moved to its current location in Winchester, VA near I-81 in 1960 after merging with the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music and Art. We now offer over 90 different undergraduate and graduate degree programs through six schools and one college on our 126 acre campus.
