We offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs which are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) as well as other accreditation bodies recognized by our profession. Our programs range from Early Childhood Education to Nursing to Healthcare Management with many options in between.
The university's history began when it was founded in 1933 as South Florida Junior College, one of two junior colleges established at that time by the Florida Board of Control for such institutions. In 1947, its name was changed to South
