SUNY College At Brockport’s Educational Opportunity Center offers an affordable, quality education to students who have been historically underrepresented in higher education. We believe that all people deserve equitable access to a college degree and are committed to providing the necessary resources for success. SUNY College at Brockport is committed to serving those who face systemic barriers or economic disadvantage through our Educational Opportunity Center (EOC). Our mission is to provide educational opportunities and support services for individuals with limited opportunity due to socioeconomic status, disability, ethnicity/race, gender identity or sexual orientation.
The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a program that provides academic and social support services to students who are economically disadvantaged, first generation college-goers, and/or members of traditionally underrepresented populations.
The EOC offers undergraduate degree programs in General Studies, Public Health Sciences, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education with certification opportunities in Special Education K-12 and English as a Second Language.
Students enrolled at the College will have access to advising services for majors outside of our department which include: Accounting; Business Administration; Communication Arts & Sciences; Computer Science w/CIS Certification Program option; Criminal Justice; Economics with an emphasis on Economic Development or Finance Option; Environmental Studies w/Ecology Option | Geography | History|
The SUNY College at Brockport Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a comprehensive outreach program designed to provide academic and financial assistance to students from traditionally under-served communities. The EOC offers free tutoring, counseling, mentoring, and other services to help students be successful in college.
We are committed to providing quality programs for all of our students with the goal of ensuring their success in college as well as graduate school or career pathways. Our team works closely together with faculty, staff, administration and community partners such as Rochester City School District 34J; Department of Labor; Monroe Community College; University at Buffalo Law School ́s Office of Minority Student Achievement ́s Access Program.
