Wesley College is one of the three private, not-for-profit 4-year colleges in Delaware. The campus is located in an urban area, in Dover. Founded by Methodist leaders in 1873 and originally known as Wesleyan Female College, the institution was renamed to Wesley College after merging with the all-male Delaware State College in 1954.
