Barry University

Barry University is a private, non-profit university in Miami with a small student to faculty ratio of 11:1. The university was founded in 1940 and is now one of the largest Catholic universities in the area. They offer over 100 different degree programs at two colleges and six schools, including the College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

The Barry University College of Nursing and Health Sciences offers several undergraduate and graduate-level nursing programs. Students can get started with a career in nursing by enrolling in the BSN program. The traditional BSN program requires students to complete the pre-nursing program unless they have completed the prerequisite courses at another college or university. The university also offers an MSN program with a variety of specialty tracks, including Family Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Educator. Besides the traditional BSN and MSN programs, Barry University offers additional pathways, including an accelerated BSN program, an LPN to BSN program, and an RN to BSN program.
