Central Nursing College

Central Nursing College is one of the public 4-year colleges in California. We are accredited by CAAHEP and approved by CA BPPE. Our mission is to provide a high quality education for students who wish to become nurses, licensed vocational nurses or other health care professionals.

Central Nursing College is a public institution of higher education and the only community college in Contra Costa County that offers an Associate degree. It was established in 1968, making it one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in California. Central Nursing College provides career-focused educational programs to prepare students for employment or transfer to a university. These programs are designed to develop skills necessary for success as nurses, teachers, social workers, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals. The college has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 1974.

Central Nursing College has been training nurses since the early 1900s. Now, we offer a variety of nursing programs with flexible schedules and affordable tuition. Our focus is on providing quality education that meets the needs of our diverse student population through innovative teaching methods and active learning opportunities.
