Columbia College is a private, not-for-profit liberal arts and sciences college in Columbia, Missouri. Founded in 1851 as Christian Female College, the school was renamed Columbia Female College in 1860 after construction on its first building was completed. In 1890 it became known by its present name when it merged with the nearby University of Missouri's male department (later to become Stephens College).
Today, our mission continues to be "to educate students for lifelong success." The institution offers more than 100 undergraduate degrees and certificates across five schools: Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; Education; Engineering Technologies & Applied Science; Health Professions.
