Columbia Public Schools (CPS) is a public school district in Columbia, Missouri. CPS educates more than 11,000 students from preschool to high school and has been nationally recognized for its academic excellence. We offer a comprehensive curriculum of academics and enrichment opportunities that empower all learners to pursue their passions, achieve success, and lead lives of service.
Columbia Public Schools offers:
-Kindergarten through 12th grade education with highly qualified instructors
-A broad array of courses taught by certified teachers
-Academic proficiency in math and reading at or above the state average on standardized tests
-Flexible course schedules for busy families; A Program allows students to take up to six courses
Columbia Public Schools has been educating students from Columbia, Missouri for more than a century. The district offers public education to the community through three comprehensive high schools, one alternative school, and an early childhood center. In addition to traditional curriculum offerings in academic subjects such as math and English language arts, CPS provides many other programs that help prepare our students for life after graduation: Career & Technical Education (CTE), Advanced Placement (AP) courses, dual credit opportunities with local colleges and universities.
