Delcastle Technical High School is an innovative public school that provides a rigorous career-focused education in the trades. Delcastle offers programs for students who are interested in pursuing careers as welders, pipefitters, electricians, and other building trades. We offer our students many opportunities to explore their interests through internships and partnerships with local businesses. In addition to academics we provide a wide range of extracurricular activities including sports teams, clubs and organizations.

We focus on providing a rigorous academic program supplemented with career preparation courses taught by professionals from industry partners such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Penn State University Park Campus (Penn State), Siemens Medical Solutions USA Inc., and General Electric Healthcare Services Corp., among others. This combination prepares our graduates for both higher education opportunities as well as future employment.

The school serves students in grades 9-12 who live within the boundaries of the Brandywine School District or any other district that has agreed to participate. Delcastle offers a variety of pathways for students including: technical education, such as automotive technology and cosmetology; academic enrichment courses, such as pre-calculus and AP English Language & Composition; and college credit courses through partnerships with Delaware College of Art & Design (DCA&D) and University of Delaware (UD).
