FTCC has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges since 2017 and it is one of only two schools to be granted accreditation for its vocational-technical program offerings which include automotive technology, diesel mechanics, welding engineering technology among others. FTCC also caters specifically to military families with their Military Support Services program that provides them access to education benefits and services

The practical nursing program is approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. The associate's degree in nursing program at FTCC is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). Students will be taught to provide medical care in many different settings. Graduates of the programs will be fully prepared to apply for the NCLEX-PN or NCLEX-RN licensure exam.
