Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center

The Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center is a public school located in the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The school offers vocational education and training programs for adults, teens, and young people interested in careers in skilled trades, health care technology, computer networks, cosmetology/barbering/ electrology career exploration. In addition to academic courses that include English Language Arts I-III; Mathematics I-IV: Science (Biology); Social Studies (U.S. History) and Physical Education 

The Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center is a public school that provides career and technical education to students in the greater Johnstown, Pennsylvania area. The center offers more than 50 programs of study including: culinary arts, cosmetology, construction technology, computer technology, dental assistant training and many others. Students who graduate from this high-school will be able to enter into careers in numerous industries across the country such as health care or law enforcement. the GJCTC provides students with an opportunity to explore work environments by having them complete a five-month internship while attending classes at the school.

The Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center is a state-of-the-art career and technical education facility, located in the City of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The building has been designed to meet the needs of today’s learner by providing an environment that fosters creativity and innovation through hands on experiences. At GCCTC we are committed to preparing our students for careers in high demand industries such as health care, technology, manufacturing, engineering and skilled trades related fields. Our programs have been developed with input from industry representatives so they reflect real world applications.

For over 40 years, Greater Johnstown Career & Technology Center has been committed to providing the best possible education for students in grades 9-12. Our faculty and staff members are dedicated to helping students reach their fullest potential by providing them with a quality education that prepares them for success in college or career. We offer four academies: Business, Health Sciences, Human Services and Information Technology. These academies provide an opportunity for our students to explore careers before committing themselves fully to one field of study. The GJCTC also offers many opportunities outside of academics, including sports teams (baseball, basketball), clubs (Rotary Interact Club) and extracurricular activities like art shows, musicals and dances.
