Iowa Western Community College - Clarinda

Iowa Western Community College (IWCC) is a public, two-year institution of higher education in Clarinda, Iowa. The college has an open admission policy and offers both associate's degree and certificate programs.
The campus consists of 16 buildings on 180 acres near the Missouri River. IWCC enrolls about 1,000 students each semester with more than half coming from out-of-state.

Iowa Western Community College is a comprehensive, community-based college, founded in 1960. With an enrollment of approximately 8500 students and more than 600 full-time faculty members, the College offers associate degrees and certificates in academic and technical programs.

The Iowa Western campus has grown from one building at Ninth Street to three campuses: Clarinda Campus (located at 923 East Washington), Mount Pleasant Campus (located six miles south of Clarinda) and New Hampton Campus (located 20 miles north of Clarinda). The facilities include classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer labs; student services offices; conference rooms; restrooms; Student Union Building.

Athletics are an important part of Iowa Western's culture and the school sponsors 12 varsity sports teams, with men's and women's basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball and baseball teams competing at NCAA Division II level.
