Jefferson College of Health Sciences is a private institution in Roanoke, Virginia. Established in 1982, Jefferson College of Health Sciences (JCHS) is one of the oldest and most respected schools for healthcare education. JCHS was originally founded as a hospital-based college with roots dating back to 1907 when Jefferson Hospital opened its doors. Jefferson College of Health Sciences offers a few BSN paths and an MSN program with two specialty tracks. The BSN options include traditional BSN, accelerated BSN, and RN to BSN. These programs are accredited by the CCNE. The traditional BSN program provides students with experience in an educational setting with small class sizes. The student-to-faculty ratio is 10:1. When completing the accelerated or traditional BSN programs, students gain clinical experience through partnerships with hundreds of regional healthcare facilities including the Carilion Clinic. Over 600 hours of clinical rotations are completed during the accelerated or traditional BSN programs.
