Louisiana College

Louisiana College is a small private college with a low 11:1 student to faculty ratio, affiliated with the Louisiana Baptist Convention. The college was founded in 1906 and classes were taught in tents at first. Now, there are 25 residential and academic buildings on campus including Alexandria Hall which houses most of the administrative offices. Nursing programs are also offered at Cavanaugh Hall of Science where classrooms for biology, mathematics, and chemistry are housed as well. As Louisiana College is affiliated with a church, students must follow strict guidelines but enjoy traditional academics not found in other institutions today such as Latin and Greek courses.
