Paradise Valley Community College

Paradise Valley Community College is a two-year college founded in 1985. PVCC was established by the Maricopa County Community College District and was initially named the Northeast Valley Education Center. The present name was adopted the following year. PVCC became an independent college in 1990 and was previously an extension of Scottsdale Community College. PVCC continues to expand, with over 14,000 students and a new building for the study of life sciences. The number of employees has also grown from 62 total employees in 1987 to over 695 employees today.

Paradise Valley Community College is an independent two-year college focused on providing accessible and affordable education to the residents of Maricopa County. Established in 1985, PVCC has a long history of success for our students. PVCC offers a variety of programs from associate's degree to certificate courses with flexible schedules, low tuition rates and convenient locations.

PVCC is committed to high quality instruction that fosters student success at every level while maintaining affordability through its open door admissions policies and need-based scholarships. The college also provides many opportunities for personal enrichment such as internships, co-ops, service learning experiences, clubs/organizations and special events (e.g., art fairs).
