GateWay Community College is a community college located in Phoenix, AZ. The school was established in 1968 and originally located downtown as the first technical college in the state of Arizona. GateWay Community College has grown to become one of 10 accredited colleges in the Maricopa County Community College District and is currently served by Valley Metro Light Rail, making it an easy destination for students already living in the greater Phoenix region.

 In addition to its campus location, GateWay also offers courses at three other locations throughout the city: Central Avenue, Thomas Road Center, and West Valley Skill Center. With this expansion into new areas outside of its original location on Jefferson Street, GateWay now serves more than 12 thousand people every year with over 160 different programs for all.

GateWay Community College is the first community college in Maricopa County. GCC has been a leader in technical and career education for over 50 years. With more than 160 different programs, GateWay offers students a variety of degree paths to choose from including Associate's degrees, certificates and occupational skills training.

 Located at the intersection of Phoenix's light rail system with Valley Metro buses serving it as well, GateWay is conveniently located for commuters already living in the greater Phoenix area.
