Roseman University of Health Sciences

Roseman University of Health Sciences is a private institution in Henderson, Nevada, with both undergraduate and graduate programs. It was founded in 2001 as the Nevada College of Pharmacy and the University of Southern Nevada.

 A second campus was established in South Jordan, Utah, resulting in a name change for the university. The university has a unique course schedule. Instead of taking multiple courses at the same time, students take blocks of classes, completing one course at a time. This block system is used by all the programs offered at the university, including the nursing programs.  

There are four nursing programs available at the university, including the traditional BSN program and an accelerated BSN program. Both programs are accredited by the ACEN. The school also offers an RN to BSN program and a veteran to BSN program. The RN to BSN program is a nine-month program, while the accelerated BSN takes 18 months to complete.

 The RN to BSN program does not include clinical experiences. Students are grouped together for specific activities and programs designed to enhance their previous experience. While clinical experiences are not offered to the RN students, students enrolled in the traditional BSN program will work at local facilities to receive hands-on training.

Instead of taking multiple courses at the same time (also known as "concurrent enrollment"), students take blocks of classes- one course at a time- completing them before moving on to their next class. This block system is used by all of Roseman's programs including nursing programs.
