Southern California Medical College is a private, nonprofit institution of higher learning that specializes in the medical field. Southern California Medical College (or SCMC) is a private, non-profit college providing training in the medical and health professions. The school was founded in 1971 by physicians to provide quality education for professional careers in medicine and healthcare.

Incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation under the laws of the State of California, Southern California Medical College is governed by an elected Board of Trustees consisting of representatives from various sectors of society including business, medicine, education and community service.

Southern California Medical College (SCC) is a private, nonprofit institution with two campuses. Founded in 1946 as the first medical college established in the western United States after World War II, SCC has been educating physicians for more than 65 years and has graduated more than 2,500 doctors to serve Southern California's diverse communities. The College occupies two campuses: one on North Mission Road in Sylmar; and another at Loma Linda University Health Center in San Bernardino.
