The John H. Daniel Campus is our newest facility with over 75 classrooms, laboratories, computer labs, student lounges/study areas and meeting spaces for faculty offices.

Southside Virginia Community College, a public institution of higher education, is the only accredited two-year college in Southside Virginia. The John H. Daniel Campus (JHD) offers associate degree programs in general studies and occupational/technical fields as well as certificate programs in areas such as computer information technology and health care administration.


The mission of the College is to provide high quality postsecondary educational opportunities that prepare students for productive careers or transfer to four-year institutions. The vision of the College is to be an innovative leader among community colleges by providing relevant courses and services that meet regional needs, empowering all students with skills for success, and building partnerships with other organizations within the region.
