St. Catherine University is a Catholic, liberal arts university in Minneapolis with its main campus located on the historic St. Catherine's Hill overlooking downtown and the Mississippi River Valley. St. Catherine University is a Catholic, private, four-year liberal arts college for women located in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota and was founded on the traditions of Benedictine spirituality and scholarship by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1905.
The university enrolls about 3200 students at its two campuses; 700 are residential students who live on campus all four years while 1600 commute to classes from home or other colleges.
