We are committed to developing a new generation of scholars who will be able to examine our nation's past from multiple perspectives.

The Catholic University of America at Library of Congress (CUA-LC) is the only academic institution in the United States that offers a degree program in library and information science. CUA-LC has been affiliated with the Library of Congress since 1932, when the university was selected by Librarian Herbert Putnam to provide teaching staff for what would become known as The Catholic University School for Library Service. In 2006, CUA-LC became an integral part of The Catholic University's School for Professional Studies and received its own degree-granting authority.

Today, CUA-LC provides education to students from all backgrounds who are interested in pursuing careers focused on service to libraries, museums, archives or other cultural institutions.
