Union University

Union University is a private institution in Jackson, Tennessee. Established in 1823 as the Union Baptist Seminary and Collegiate Institute, it later became affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. The university has grown to include four undergraduate colleges (Arts & Sciences; Business Administration; Christian Studies; Music), three graduate schools (School of Education; School of Music and Worship Arts Leadership) and one seminary. It offers over 40 majors across its undergraduate programs.

The university features many buildings on campus including an administration center, two soccer fields, academic halls, and a wellness center that includes a gymnasium for basketball games and other sports activities. In 2008 the campus was hit by a major tornado which caused $40 million worth.
