Founded more than 50 years ago by members of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and other Indian tribes who wanted to educate their children so they could be professionals and leaders for their people, today UTC educates all students from all ethnic groups on its modern campus near downtown Bismarck.

The college offers degrees ranging from Associate’s Degrees to Bachelor’s Degrees that can lead to careers across many fields including business, engineering technology and nursing — as well as an adult degree completion program with flexible schedules for working adults.
