Delta State University is a public 4-year college located in Cleveland town, Mississippi. The campus has 3,785 students and offers bachelor's degrees in more than 100 majors. Delta State also features graduate programs for Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). The university was founded as a private institution on October 7th, 1924 by the Methodist Church. In 1947 it became one of eight public colleges created when the state legislature passed an act to establish them.
