Maricopa Community Colleges is a public community college system serving the Maricopa County region. Established in 1965, MCC offers two-year associate degrees as well as career and technical education certificates for adults and traditional transfer programs for high school students. Maricopa is one of the largest community colleges in Arizona with more than 130,000 credit student enrollments annually at campuses throughout the county. The Chandler - Gilbert Community College campus opened in September 2007 to help meet increased demand for higher education.
