Texas Lutheran University (TLU) is a private, not-for-profit institution of higher learning located in Seguin town. TLU was established in 1854 by the Swedish immigrants who settled on land donated to them by Stephen F. Austin. The university has grown from an original enrollment of eight students to over 1,400 students today.
