Pearl River Community College has served the Forrest County community for more than 50 years and is one of six community colleges in Mississippi. The college provides a diverse range of academic and technical programs that prepare students to transfer to four-year institutions, be successful in today’s workforce, or pursue advanced careers.

The Forrest County Center offers Associate Degrees with an emphasis on Liberal Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Criminal Justice Management, Education (K-12), Engineering Technologies & Industrial Technology; Certificate Programs including Automotive Services Technician Training Program; short courses such as Computer Basics: Word Processing I & II; Health Careers: Medical Assistant Certification Program; Continuing Education courses for Professional Development.

Each location offers an array of traditional instructional courses as well as non-traditional offerings that address workforce development needs for the region’s employers and industries, including residential construction trades apprenticeships with Southern Building Construction Trades Council (SBTC).
